In recent years, there has been a new paradigm in GP-led fund restructurings in Asia. Previously regarded as a technique to deal with "zombie" funds, there is a growing trend for using fund restructurings as a legitimate tool for liquidity and value creation. A number of brand name fund managers have successfully initiated restructurings, including at a premium to their net asset value. This talk will explore why these deals get done, the different ways of doing them, and the issues that GPs, existing LPs and secondaries purchasers encounter in such transactions. Full Corporate Members attend for free. Registrations are subject to approval.
