Louisa is a partner at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP within the Financial Services Tax team, experienced in the wealth and asset management industry with a focus in real estate. She has led projects across various sub-sectors in this industry, ranging from funds and VCC set up, tax incentives for funds and fund managers, transactional due diligence to ongoing tax compliance and controversy support, as well as tax monitoring and governance controls. She has close to 20 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance support. She also has industry experience working for a hedge fund manager. She has a Masters in International Tax from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

She has over 25 years of experience in providing tax consulting and global mobility tax services to a wide variety of clients throughout Asia. Supports her clients through providing advice and consultation on individual taxation, tax planning opportunities, structuring tax effective compensation packages, cross-border employee moves, tax equalisation/protection arrangements and long term employee incentive plans.  Reviews and advises clients on their total rewards package, including that of design of long-term incentive plans. In addition, she is also a frequent speaker at professional seminars and contributes various articles to the media.

Venetia Lau

Venetia has over 24 years of audit and professional experience, which includes 6 years in EY San Francisco, auditing and advising wealth & asset management clients. She currently leads the Wealth & Asset Management Assurance practice for both APAC and Singapore. Venetia’s experience includes serving a portfolio of alternative investment funds, such as hedge, venture capital, real estate and private equity funds, consisting of various structures, as well as ETFs, mutual funds, trusts, regulated investment managers and financial advisors. Her experience with the investment funds and investment managers encompasses audit and regulatory examinations, internal control reviews, funds structuring, advice on accounting and auditing issues, consultation on regulatory matters and best practices. She also has extensive industry knowledge of the alternative investment funds structural and operating issues. She graduated from RMIT University, Australia, with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountant (ISCA), CPA Australia and American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA). She is also a member of the ISCA Banking & Finance Committee.


Kenneth Cheow

Kenneth Cheow is a director of Atlas Asia Law Corporation, an independent member firm of the global EY network. Kenneth has more than 10 years of experience in legal practice. Prior to the establishment of Atlas Asia Law Corporation, he was a partner at one of the largest law firms in Singapore. Kenneth’s main areas of practice are in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and private equity. He regularly advises multi-national groups, private and listed companies, and private equity and venture capital firms on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions. These include acquisitions and divestments of companies and businesses, corporate re-organisation and rationalisation exercises, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, and fund-raising exercises. He also advises on general corporate regulatory and compliance matters.
