Master of Ceremony
The Flying Dutchman (FD)
Mark van Cuylenburg, aka “The Flying Dutchman” is the co-founding director of the company. With an endless string of involvements in some significant events in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, Mark has prudently selected a dream cast of dedicated and experienced event management personnel.
In the 70s, Mark’s job as a deejay with Rediffusion launched his career and he went on to become one of the most popular radio broadcasters in Singapore. He was also part of “The Music Force”, an event and entertainment team, which comprised the most renowned entertainers who pioneered and moulded the events industry in the 80s and 90s. Thereafter, as part of the marketing arm at Marina Village, Mark helped promote entertainment establishments there.
In 1996, Mark was handpicked as a deejay for Class 95FM. Today, he is one of Singapore’s most outstanding radio broadcasters. He was half of the “infamous” radio duo “Joe and The Flying Dutchman”, which captured a record high audience in their morning time slot. Mark has been a reputable household name since and soon appeared in commercials and various unforgettable TV specials which include “Tonight with Gurmit”, “The Donny Lee Show”, “Upfront with Najip”, “Celebrity Squares” and “At Home With” on Channel NEWSASIA.
Mark was also host for Singapore’s first ever version of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”. Other shows he has hosted include national pageants such as Miss Singapore Universe and Miss Singapore World. His credits also include being emcee for innumerable successful launches and road shows for multi-national corporations such as IBM, Nokia, Sony and Motorola. One of his recent accolades was being included in “People At The Peak – The Who’s Who Of Singapore”.
