Natasha Buckley, Investment Practices Senior Manager – Private Equity, Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
Natasha joined the PRI in 2011. She is responsible for the PRI’s work in private equity, through which the PRI acts as a global platform to understand and share good practice, develop reporting practices and establish LP-GP alignment on expectations around responsible investment. During her time at PRI, Natasha has produced the General Partner’s guide, the Limited Partners’ Responsible Investment Due Diligence Questionnaire, guidance on fund terms and on ESG monitoring, reporting and dialogue.

Before joining the responsible investment industry, Natasha held roles at UBS, the NHS and Simmons & Simmons (Paris). Natasha has an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics, a BA in History from University College London and has completed the University of Oxford Private Equity Programme at the Saïd Business School, under Professor Tim Jenkinson.
James Robertson, Head of Asia (ex-China & Japan), Global Networks & Outreach, Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
James joined the PRI team in 2015 as Project Manager to help establish the organisation’s Hong Kong office, following the merger of the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA) and the PRI leading to the establishment of the Asia (ex-Japan) Network.

In the roles of Network Manager and then as Head of Asia (ex-China & Japan), James is responsible for managing relationships with the PRI’s Asia signatory base as well as leading outreach to potential new signatories, supporting project and policy activities in the region, and working closely with investors, partner organisations and stakeholders to support the development of responsible investment across local markets.

Alan Fowler, Partner, Environmental Resources Management (ERM)
Alan Fowler is a Partner in ERM’s Singapore office, who leads the Transactions Services team in South East Asia. He has 28 years’ experience working for clients across a wide range of financial and industrial sectors including PE firms and banks, manufacturing, oil and gas, chemicals, power, TMT, agribusiness, and engineering companies. Alan leads ESG due diligence programmes associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, privatisations, and IPOs. He has extensive experience in the development, direction and management of multi-site liability assessments and risk management programmes. Alan also delivers ESG services that support clients to understand and manage the ESG risks and opportunities that can impact the value of their investments throughout the investment life-cycle. He has extensive experience of advising clients on the development of environmental, health, safety and social (EHSS) management systems and of implementing post-merger improvement programmes.
Coby Wong, Senior Consultant, Environmental Resources Management (ERM)
Dr Coby S.C. Wong is a Senior Consultant based in the ERM’s Singapore office working within the Transaction Services Team. Coby has over 14 years of experience in environmental, health and safety, and social (EHSS) consultancy and research. She has managed and led a wide range of EHSS projects across Asia, encompassing transaction services, due diligence assessments involving environmental site assessments (both Phase I and II assessments, EHS compliance audits against regulatory requirements and internationally recognized standards and best management practices, development of environmental and social management systems, industrial hygiene, EHS training, and loss prevention/control programs. Her work covers ESG due diligence to PE clients, and environmental & social due diligence against IFC performance standards and ADB safeguards for international banks.
