Galina Ermakova is a Senior Environmental and Social Development Specialist at IFC. Currently Galina is the Regional E&S Lead for investment projects with Financial Intermediaries and she is responsible for overseeing environmental and social investment support to IFC's FI projects in the Asia and Pacific region. Galina has cross-sectoral 18+ years of experience in management of E&S risks in EMENA and Asia.
Emma Biddles is the Portfolio Operations Director for Environment and Social at Navis Capital Partners. Emma partners with the portfolio companies to implement environmental and social initiatives that deliver measurable value and works with the inhouse ESG team to develop and strengthen internal ESG management capabilities and supports the investment professionals.
Emma has extensive experience in environmental and sustainability management spanning 20 years. She has worked in consulting, agribusiness and chemicals and food manufacturing and more recently was the Regional Environmental Sustainability lead for Kellogg Asia Pacific. Emma has a BSc from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Lee Yishan is the Founder and Managing Director of Lymon Pte. Ltd. (“Lymon”), a regulatory compliance firm mainly focused on serving fund management companies. She founded Lymon in 2013 and oversees around 20 staff.
She is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, a Certified Internal Auditor as well as a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. She was formerly with the Investment Intermediaries Department of the MAS, supervising fund managers and trust companies. Prior to MAS, she was with the Morgan Stanley Group of Companies, assisting with the setup of their Asia private bank branches in Singapore and Hong Kong. Before that, she spent 6 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Singapore and Australia), specializing in the audit and advisory engagements of fund management companies and funds.
Wai Chiew has over 20 years of experience in global investment management and strategic business development, having been active in leading various companies on transformational growth strategies, fund raising and M&A. In his previous roles at Temasek and other funds, he has led and managed investments across multiple industries and geographies. Since joining Heritas Capital, Wai Chiew has expanded its private equity investment portfolio and initiated venture capital and fund-of-funds investments into healthcare, education and technology sectors globally. In line with Heritas’ “do well, do good” investment philosophy, he has overseen the integration of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations into its investment processes.
Wai Chiew was awarded the Glaxo-EDB scholarship and holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge University, UK; MA from Yale University, USA; and completed his EMBA (conducted in Mandarin) from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China. He has also served as Honorary Treasurer with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA), and currently serves as a member of its ESG committee.
