Unlike several other venture capital firms that have lately switched to investing at the seed stage to gain better entry valuations, Accel has never veered off the seed investment focus it started out with in 2006. Over the course of its four funds—the fourth 5 million fund was launched earlier this year—the firm has invested in more than a hundred start-ups, making it one of the most prolific early-stage investors in India.
