SVCA Celebrates 25th Anniversary

October 13, 2017

The Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association commemorated its 25th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner and awards recognizing Venture Capital and Private Equity firms who have made successful and significant investment deals and exits in the past year.

The event kicked off with a video recalling the founding and journey of the SVCA through the years from a few members in 1992 to more than 130 and growing today.

Teo Ming Kian, Director on the board of Temasek Holdings, graced the event with his presence and delivered an inspirational speech tracing the history of Singapore’s venture investment over the past decades. He admonished the distinguished audience of more than 250 investors and captains of industry to work together as “true enterprise builders”  and challenged them to produce the likes of Alibabas, Tencents, Apples and Amazons of the world.

In the spirit of thanksgiving for SVCA’s silver jubilee, a charity auction was held featuring original art pieces by the talented students and alumni of the Pathlight School. All proceeds from the auction went to the Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), the parent charity of Pathlight School.

The SVCA congratulates all award winners, and thanks all participants, sponsors and donors  for their unwavering support. This event would not be a success without you.
