SVCA Response to ACRA Consultation on Proposed Changes to the Limited Partnerships Act
SVCA is pleased to submit the the following feedback to ACRA’s public consultation on proposed changes to the Limited Partnerships Act (“LP Act”) in Singapore. This follows, and builds upon, SVCA’s previous responses to MAS Questionnaire on the Singapore Limited Partnership Regime submitted last year.

SVCA Response to MAS Questionnaire on Singapore Limited Partnership Regime
MAS and ACRA are conducting a review of the Singapore Limited Partnerships regime. SVCA provided feedback on the current process and procedures in a limited partnership, under Singapore law.

Discussion with MAS on COVID-19
SVCA held a discussion with MAS on how the industry, and SVCA members, are coping with the COVID-19 situation and gave suggestions from our members on how MAS (or the Singapore government more broadly) might specifically help the fund management industry at this time.


S13X and Knowledgeable Employee Exemptions by SVCA Advocacy Subcommittee

The SVCA Advocacy Subcommittee identified two issues to bring up to MAS during regular feedback meetings. The SVCA Advocacy Subcommittee wrote the two papers, the S13X Paper and the Knowledgeable Employee Exemption paper to campaign and advocate for the PE/VC industry.

SVCA Feedback on Proposed Outward Re-domiciliation Framework

SVCA Response to S-VACC Consultation Paper 2017

MAS sought responses from the Private Equity & Venture Capital industry on the S-VACC. SVCA's response is linked below. The S-VACC is now known as the Variable Capital Company (VCC) act. 


SVCA’s Discussion Paper for Venture Capital Fund Management Companies

SVCA wrote to MAS to advocate for VC fund management companies in Singapore, the issues they face and proposals to amend and enhance the existing regime for VCFMCs.
