HKVCA announces new Chairwoman of the Board
September 4th, Hong Kong - The Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA), the industry body representing private equity and venture capital in the region, is pleased to announce that Ms. Stephanie Hui was elected Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term at its Annual General Meeting. A new Board of Directors was also elected.
Ms. Hui, who is Head of Private and Growth Equity in Asia Pacific and Global Co-head & Co-CIO of Growth Equity of Goldman Sachs Alternatives, said, “I feel truly privileged to serve in this position and to continue the great work of the HKVCA. With a membership of over 550 firms, we remain dedicated to growing our member base, not only in Hong Kong, but across Asia Pacific and worldwide.”
Former Chairwoman Rebecca Xu, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Asia Alternatives, will serve as President and Director of the Association. Ms. Xu said, “it was a great honor to serve as the first female Chair of HKVCA over the last five years. I am extremely pleased to welcome our new Chairwoman, Stephanie Hui. Stephanie has been actively involved with the private equity industry for almost three decades. I am certain that she will continue leading us as the voice of Asia’s private capital industry”.

The HKVCA is a member based professional association established in Hong Kong in 1987. It currently has over 550 corporate members across the full spectrum of industry, from venture capital, growth capital and growth buyouts to institutional fund investors, fund of funds and secondary investors. Members include small teams focused on investing in start-ups as well as the top 10 largest global private equity firms.
