The Advocacy Committee is charged with representing the SVCA in front of relevant government agencies with a view to positively influencing the development of laws, regulations and policies that are relevant to the private capital industry in Singapore. The Advocacy Committee was involved in the formulation of the Venture Manager regime, the creation of the Variable Capital Company, and the expansion of several fund-related tax incentive schemes. We are currently consulting with ACRA, MAS and IRAS on the proposed revisions to Singapore’s limited partnership laws and further enhanced tax schemes.
