North Asia Connect Committee

The North Asia Connect committee is dedicated to advancing collaboration between the North Asia private capital funds and the overall ecosystem in Singapore. As part of the Singapore Venture Capital Association (SVCA), our mission is to provide value to our members across the Singapore-North Asia corridor.

Our Commitment

The North Asia Connect Committee seeks to develop an industry-wide eco-system across the North Asia markets, through engaging with country-level private capital associations and facilitating networking and onboarding of members from the region. We seek to explore cross-pollination opportunities and collaboration, including business development, professional development, talent, mobility and other global issues. Other key areas of engagement include legal, tax, related cross-border issues as well as reference networks for other member firms.

Educational Initiatives: North Asia Connect Subcommittee is dedicated to providing continuous learning opportunities for SVCA members. Through workshops, webinars, and knowledge-sharing forums, we aim to keep our members abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting North Asia and Singapore.

Collaborative Networking: North Asia Connect Subcommittee provides a platform for SVCA members to connect, collaborate, and share insights. Through networking events, forums, and collaborative projects, we aim to build a supportive community that leverages collective expertise to overcome challenges and seize opportunities in the rapidly evolving venture capital landscape.

Advocacy: the North Asia Connect Subcommittee will support the development of the private capital industry in North Asia and Singapore by raising awareness about the industry’s needs and challenges and by advocating for policies and practices that benefit the private capital industry through engaging and cooperating with governments, related organizations, and investors

By embodying these principles, the North Asia Connect Subcommittee endeavors to be a catalyst for positive change, driving the private capital industry in Singapore towards greater efficiency, resilience, and digital maturity. Together, we aim to shape the future of private capital operations and foster a culture of continuous innovation within the SVCA community
